Review:

When the ‘Big Book of Texas Music’ is written, there will be a chapter about the young artists who looked to the veteran artists for their inspiration. It will be divided into those who did the old-schoolers’ legacy justice and those who pissed all over their shoes. The Slow Rollin’ Lows will no doubt be included in that chapter and will be firmly in the section as those who were ‘keepers of the flame’.

Hailing from a small-town in Southeast Texas (a hot bed of national talent throughout every decade), the Slow Rollin’ Lows are the “real deal”. No country covers here and no “sexy tractors”. Just original music about real themes. These are songs about love, loss, anguish, bars, booze, ups, downs and all-arounds. In other words, real life. Songs like “Forevermore’, ‘You’re All I Need’ and ‘Jesus Loves A Man Who Writes A Song’ all have themes with which people can identify. The Slow Rollin’ Lows are torchbearers for reality and their light has only begun to shine.
