Review:

Goth Jones is not pretty. Their look isn’t pretty, their style isn’t pretty, their music isn’t even pretty. Hailing out of Venice CA these dudes bring the loose and easy style of the socal enclave and apply it to heavy-goth-metal music, of all things. Think a very sloppy Slayer, or maybe Black Sabbath with a little more….something. I’ll be honest, this is not music i would have thought i would listen to, but there’s something that happens when a track is blaring in the background. I suddenly want to do something, something active, perhaps aggressive, maybe even destructive. At that point i inevitably, and perhaps unwillingly, have a wide eyed smirk across my face, as if i can fight anything and anyone, just for the hell of it. It’s invigorating. I don’t know why, but it is. I suggest not listening to these tracks while operating heavy machinery.
